Up Dharma Down Album Review

Artist: Up Dharma Down
Album: Fragmented
Nothing more can compare to the feeling of water, quenching your thirst, after walking the polluted streets of only God knows wherever you are. Every single cold drop of it streams down to your throat as if a cold-blooded knife slathers your neck. But then, you are thirsty. Hence, the pain is translated to pleasure - fragments of pleasure.
Up Dharma Down’s Fragmented, could be considered as one of the most awaited releases this year. With the emanation of their first single Maybe, the band effortlessly captures the fussy ears of Pinoy music aficionados. Thus, it creates an itchy desire for the people to hunger for more. Moreover, the release of their second single Pag-agos, makes the band not just bigger, but gigantic. They climb the charts both in music channels and on radios. Hits after hits are played.
The fifteen-track album would definitely appease the anxiety of your stressed nerves. The breezy feel of their sound generates a pacifying resonance that without a doubt would make you deem your stiff couch as a Lazy Boy with the massager turned on. You will just catch yourself closed eyes, humming to the rhythmic pulse of the expressive guitar riffs, escorted by the steady bass lines and jazzy drum beats. Not mentioning the soulful voice of the vocalist, that highly complements the cadence of their sound.
All tracks are great. But to name a stronger set, aside from Maybe and Pag-agos, listen to: Oo, Hiwaga, Layag, Malikmata and We Give in Sometimes.
For a new artist who penetrates the mainstream, Up Dharma down is exceptional.
